Kinds of Visas:

Transit Visas
This type of visa is a 4-day (96 hour) visa, which is issued by sponsorship of an airline operating in the UAE or the hotel where you are accommodated during transit. A transit visa can only be issued if you have a valid ticket for an onward flight and the issuing of transit visas is to be initiated at the source of the journey.

Visit Visas
There are two types of visit visas issued by the U.A.E. government.

(a) 14 day Visa (single Entry)
The first is a 14-day visa, also known as an Entry Service Permit. This visa must be sponsored by a UAE company or hotel and will take 3 days to issue.

(b) Multiple Entry Visa
The second is a Multiple Entry Visa, which is useful for individuals who are continuously visiting the UAE. These visas are issued for a period of 2 months. There is a provision to extend this visa by another month at a cost. However there is a limit on the number of issuance of such visas.
